Sniper, back in 1993, our R&D center (Coast Guard) came up with a bullet proof PFD and we got to test in the field.....man that thing was HEAVY!!! Needless to say, that didn't work out!!!

Randy this one has pannels where you can add body armor to it and the stuff that is out now is a whole lot lighter
