    trim tabs on rudders

Because i run a big boat with another boat straped on the side i get some crummy side wind loads so I my boat pulled differently all the time so i fabed up this using a minn kota actuator and a 3 ft section of piano hinge. Works great. I tweak it a bit once on plane and completely neutral out...

    flotation pod on airboat ?

Can get you a better pic and measurements on monday. The pod is a couple inches up from the bottom of the boat. I think it's at least 18", maybe more. I hunt about 50 or 60 days straight in canada and the stainless ruger is the only gun I've found that holds up with a minimum amount of...

    flotation pod on airboat ?

Built a pod for my boat. Love it. No downside. 600 lbs of flotation. Made it with a kicker motor mount. Great step for climbing back in the boat. Helps break the wave when decelerating. Great place to set the ducks. Yes it's a diesel boat. Yes it floated before I put in on. With 900 ft lbs of...

    Lenco Trim Tab Wiring????

I use plastic bolts at the top of the actuator so if forget to raise em they'll break instead of bustin other parts. Saved me a few times. it's allot cheaper than an actuator

    Diesel airboat hull

I know it's a monster but by the time I put in 100 decoys, 5 or 6 guys and 2 or 3 dogs and hopefully 2 or 3 dozen ducks by the end of the hunt, it doesn't seem so big. As long as you got the juice to move it, it runs dry and can climb hills it can't be tooo big.

    Diesel airboat hull

If I did the upload right... here are couple shots of my duramax boat. 18x8, I wouldn't go smaller. I also added a sponson on the back that gives about 600 lbs of flotation.

    Diesel Engine Airboats?

Run a duramax on a 18x8 hull. I added a sponson/ pod on rhe back of the boat that helps allot with the extra wieght while stopped and at slow speeds. Other than that 900+ ft lbs more than make up for a couple hundred lbs. And it does it 60% of the rpm's

    duramax on a boat

Have a gt42 turbo on the duramax boat. Turbo spool up is not an issue

    duramax on a boat

Yes I concur that the most daunting first task was the wiring harness. Using the service manual schematic I was able to make it run using efi live tuning software. The e.g T's were an issue at first, but utilized a bigger turbo, different exhaust manifold, and some work on the up pipes, and...

    duramax on a boat

and i believe it was panther, not air ranger that built one

    duramax on a boat

i built a duramax boat. only one i know of besides the two previously mentioned. did a thread on here some time ago and lots of naysayers poo pooed it as a viable power plant. a while back there was a big thread on here documenting thrust numbers from various setups. i have thrust tested this...

First CE approved airboat in Europe

nice job on that monster, just a suggestion on the trim tabs. i understand you won't be running shallow much but you talked about unloading the boat onto the ground, (which i agree will be tough moving that beast with that motor). in the picture posted Sun Jun 26, 2011 5:25 pm, are the tabs...

    700hp @3000rpm 1500tq 12v diesel

heck yea GIMAMMOTH, go for it and if i could ever be of any help don't hesitate to contact me. as for the water meth injection i looked at it but my truck pullin buddy explained it to me this way. if your in a certain pulling/racing class and are restricted by the size of the turbo then the...

    700hp @3000rpm 1500tq 12v diesel

when researching this i talked to an engineer who builds diesel aircraft engines. he explained that the reason why diesels are hard on propellers is because of the high detonation shock load. without being an engineer i would still bet that that load is higher on a 6 cyl motor vs an 8. i'm...

    700hp @3000rpm 1500tq 12v diesel

very nice rig, how much does something like that go for, 50k+. i'm asking cuz i really don't know. isn't that a 572? do you talk gallons per mile? here is a little vid showing that there really is no turbo lag even spinning a big single.EAyD9zTksCo
