R/C airboats

I bought the Alligator Tours remote control airboat.. It would run but would get stuck on a lilly pad.. LOL.... So, what does an airboater do when it lacks power?? YUP, I went and re rigged the engine stand, bought a smoking motor, reversed the prop, new NIMH battery, controller and now the thing runs DRY !!!!!!!!!! And hauls arse!!!!!!!!! Here is a video of the NEW modified boat.. I have the exact same mods.. I re rigged the seat package and made it look identical to my personal airboat.. Made it a push prop instead of a pull prop..HUGE DIFFERENCE !!!!!!!

YUP, THAT THING WILL SMOKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I built one from a boogy board that had plastic coating on bottom like polymer lol it had a 31cc homelite Weedeater engine that was ported and polished with cut down flywheel and custom made t6 aluminum prop adapter.I ran a master airscrew 3 blade pusher prop and made the rudders and cage by hand and used a small plastic dry box for servos and transmitter.epoxied it right on top of board. It hauled butt and ran dry ground just as fast.

This is a 90's Flitecraft river rage.Had a single metal water rudder that was catchy and lots of drag. Built dual air rudders, linked them in with existing control horn. My guessing on size and shape was right on (Luck). Prop clearance arose to a 3 blade prop, less 1" diameter saves chopping the deck. Excellent handling due to the bottom hull shaping. 35"long 14" beam. Under 5 lbs. Top speed with .46 Nitro .39mph
