i know someone with a new 13' Marty Bray that would trade you for your boat. its a beautiful blue with metal flake and has less than a dozen rides on it. he has a car motor, gearbox and he dont like the torque roll

thats a big boat for any aircraft to run dry easily. it would be cheaper to get a 13' Marty Bray and put a good 2 blade prop and some 10:1 pistons in that engine. keep it as light as you can. get rid of that heavy cooler and run one battery and one person. you'll be happy then.

you'll love it. they are wider blades, but they push better than any prop ive tried on my boat. im running a 72" so let me know what you think about the 74".

theres a lot of variables in that question. weight, prop, gearbox, hull and setup. what RPM are you getting 500hp?

your poly running past the transom will cause it to hop. mine was sticking 1/2" or less past the transom and my boat hopped. my buddy told me that was the cause, i didnt believe that little bit could make a difference but he was right. cut it off flush and it rode like it was supposed to.

i don't think you'll have a problem. my buddy has been running one for three years and its doing great. like sliding gator said, i don't believe there's much difference in performance

even if you do, just take a piece of masking tape and put it on the blades, then mark it with a pen. makes it easer to get you prop back where it was.
