Lycoming manual fuel pump

I've researched before and now again recently to find parts to overhaul the common AC diaphragm fuel pump to no avail, are they that sacred to overhaul? I have had zero luck finding check valves nor diaphragms.
Meanwhile I can readily buy a kit for a 1954/5 Corvette pump that will rebuild the original Continental GPU PE family pumps with ease if they are not too rotted out.
I figure some thinking caps on here might have an idea.

i know this isnt what you were asking, but this fuel pump is a direct bolt on, out of the box, no bending or cutting for a o540. Advance Auto Parts - Down for Maintenance

What gets me is when you call about a replacement pump they will ask if you want a rebuilt pump. If you ask for a kit it doesn't exist.
