Step Hull - Ride Boat build

Hey everyone,

I have been working on a chuck hawk step hull I picked up a couple of months back. It is a 12x7 with a 7 foot step.

I had to replace 3 stringers in it. It is not being built as a race boat. it is being built as a ride boat and for frogging. So, the stringers were laid up with more glass than normal.

As of now, I have the inside of the hull done and just built the engine stand over the weekend. I plan on test running a salvaged 4.3 vortec this week sometime. Over the upcoming weekend, I plan to get a good bit of the rigging built.

Let me know what you all think. I know people on here are either all for the step boat or completely against them. either way, I'd like to know what you think.

That should be a nice boat. If I were you I would consider putting gussets in your engine stand.
Since weight is no issue, I would put them in. It will strengthen your stand tremendously. Good
Luck on your build look forward to seeing more photos of your build.
