Wondering if anyone is heading down to the grass this Saturday for the trash talk event. We got quite a few boats heading down pretty early Saturday morning hope to see everyone out there should be a good time :rebel:

I was hoping to go, I would be launching from MM 35. I know they are meeting at picnic island, but I'm not sure where that is, I'll have to follow someone.

We will be putting in at 35mm about 10:am. I don't plan to run to Picnic, probly hang around camp 9 (race track area) for a while  then start making our way to Smokes
and wait for trash talk group to pass by and run with them out to the Hilton..
I dont think the Mud trail going to picnic has much water in it, so I will avoid it.

Picnic island is east off the 35mm boat ramp your best bet would be to put in at 35mm boat south west ramp at that and head straight out the trail till you come up to the Andrews av sign, make a left and take that trail all the way to the canal. Once you get to the canal if you look to your right you'll see the big tall Australian pines and that is picnic island. You go down the canal to it or idle across and make your first right and that trail will run you into it. With that being said and the water conditions as they are that trail might not be to friendly. So as long as your not afraid of riding the canal that's probably your best bet.

Thank you for the directions, I am down in Homestead and will be putting in of 41 at 40 mile bend. I can find my way to the swimming hole so maybe directions from there? I do appreciate the help looking forward to ridding with friends and meeting some new folks :proud: :rebel:

Lilly pad if you put in at holiday park you can ride west down the main trial
Till you come to the first camp about 3 miles on you left you take a left on the west side of camp
Go about 1/2 mile you will run right in to it or go to the cross roads camp on the canal ride 1/2 mile east of the canal and make a right at the camp
The trail on the east side that runs along the canal has water but it is over grown big time
It's a pretty Farr ride from 41 but a fun one

Helicsher- it's a little further then 3 miles from holiday to Notel probably closer to 10 but the route he mentioned would work as well

I'm coming with a group of 5 boats..........ready for some fun!

Myself, diggin,birddog247, flcracker9, Sean and Jerome!!!

thank U Helicsher, looking forward to it sounding like a fun ride. both I and my little sled prefer tall grass to deep canal lol. Does anybody have a GPS coordinate or maybe a google maps pic. we are pretty set to launch from 41 as we have boats coming from both the east and west coast lol.

probably be at the ramp around 8, multiple boats from multiple directions so schedule may slide a bit lol. I got me one of those Taylor hulls to

For you Miami and Naples guys it might be worth the truck ride up to MM35 on I-75 so that you aren't running your boats all the way up from Tamiami Trail..........jmo

Dont worry about Picnic Island. We are now meeting at Andrews Ave and will leave from there. Lillypad you need to come put in off the Ally with us so you can get the ride you haven't done yet. Call me Tomorrow Ish! I'll be on tours from 9:30 am to 3pm

Hey Jason, you are certainly right it is about time I check out the ramps on 75. there is multiple things in motion for Saturday so most likely stay south. look forward to visiting and having a beer or two with you my friend.
