A.A.O.F. is having their annual Corned Beef & Cabbage Poker Run on Sat., March 16, 2013. We are located 7.5 miles west of
SR 997 (Krome Ave.) on US 41 (Tamiami Trail). Come and ride in "YOUR" Everglades National Park w/ Willie Haggard. This is
the weekend after the Broward Co. Airboat Show. Let's see if all those "Pretty Boats" can run.
 
Had a blast last time down there. Had the ole Franny Taylor with the Franklin on it last time. How's the water, I'd love to bring the step this time.
 
Broward County Airboat Show was great, now lets ride. I've been in contact w/ The Miccosukee Resort to get a special rate for next weekend, see info. below ...

Special room rates have been secured for your group. Please make sure that your guests mention to the Reservation Representative, that they are the Airboat Association of Florida – Group Code GAAOF03 to receive the special guest room rate of $99.00 for a Standard room and $149.00 for Standard Suites (Celebration, Executive, and Parlor).

Remember, AAOF is only 7.5 miles west of the resort.

This Saturday........come enter the poker run, ya....that's right. an airboat poker run....its fun and ya just cant beat the surroundings...all glade running, no rocks easy family running..you get to tour our Everglades National Park, East everglades area. and enjoy several Several poker hand stops.

Then eat some corn beef cabbage and Veges... prepared by "our" in house IRISHMAN. Mr. Bailey................trust me ITS GOOD FOOD folks

I plan to be there with the South Dade gang, won`t miss it this year.....the weather is going to be great too! :old_glory:
 
...and Cherpa can sure cook some delicious Corned Beef and Cabbage.
One of our guest last year won a Poker hand.
Your chance to run an airboat in a National Park....unheard of in other parts of the Country.
 
Come on Gatorbone, bring that boat back down to the club and let "HER" show you around, and you're right it is "Paradise", YOUR Everglades Nat'l. Park.
 
it's a treat to go down to the AAoF club,and ride..they know how to lay down a good time,and it's some of the best riding in the state.
 
Sorry guys. Couldnt make it. Family breakfast last minutte and picked up some overtime after at work. Hopefully soon i can get down there and ride with you guys. Ride safe.
 
Had a great time, nice ride with Gus, Albert, Mike and the rest of the crew, had a nice time with my daughters as well, got the camper somewhat cleaned up and the a/cs freed up and running, the boat ran fantastic, nice and flat as it likes the skinny water. Hoping for some good rains to keep the water table up for April otherwise there will be a mud puddle to run. I was looking for you Sergio, dont feel bad, I had two guests back out, my supervisor and former supervisor, plus my wife stood me up otherwise I'd have stayed the night.

We had a great time riding with you and your beautiful daughters too John... your boat rides straight as an arrow!! it shows how well you set up a boat. Here are some pictures I took at the Poker Run stops. John Fenner, Airboat Gus and after thirty years I ran into Cicel Pierce aka(pierce44) shown in his Jaime Colinger boat.

Dadgummit, John Fenner & Mugshot if I knew what you guys look like I would of introduced myself. Got out there by 9am with gladescat, talked with cherpa a while and went riding till 3pm. Awesome meeting DavieGSO480 and others. Cecil funniest man I have met in a long time, great people, quietest boat I've heard to. Man has some skills, caught a bird with his airboat while riding, funny as hell got the picture to prove it. A story I will carry with me for a long time. Cherpa served up some great chicken and cabbage! Best time ever, even got to meet Mr. Thurman and his boy which was a pleasure no doubt. Amongst other ol' timers that have been ridin out there before my time and sharing the stories as well. Feel humble that they shared their experiences. Can't hardly wait for next year.

Cuban Cracker I will look for you next month at the Picnic. I went to introduce myself but you guys were eating. You guys took a picture of me and my wife when we were leaving one of the Poker Run stops. I think you were the one driving gladescat boat.
