Thanks to Harley, Watersports and Shiggs: I gathered all the advice I could from these guys and started my cage. Here's some pics. Thanks you guys for the info and incouraging words. Don
Looking good don, thinking of sending my engine to a guy in spring that can completely rebuild and add a new cam and more, said when he is done should be 340-360hp
HEY DON : looks like ya got it started, thats the biggest thing , knowing how you are going to built it, befor you start the build... looks good Don , keep up the good work.... take care , GOD BLESS... 8)
JD some of us bend emt over a piece of wood cut into the same shape as the hoop, pretty simple to do if you ain't got a shop down the street. Hell the shops use the same thing only their jig is metal and ours is wood LOL! Never bent stainless over one, but Im sure if it's thin enough it would work. Another idea is to bend em over an existing cage.
Looking good Don, still waiting to see the post when you get it out there with that new box/prop! LOL!
Watersports: It's kinda up in the air right now. But, I imagine I am going with 16ga. 2"x4" ss wire. It'll be between $300-400 . but, I have learned some tricks on how to lay the wire and keep the squares all strait. Takes some extra wire though. I was going to have sides that hinged and lifted, but there's so much room inside this cage I don't think I'll need them. Don
