Im going to deck in the front half.Got to run to the city for more aluminum.Cuyuna's mostly came on ultalites back in the 80's and 90's.Back then they were top of the line. They just didnt know how to market themselfs like rotax. If you do a search for 2si you'll see. They made some kickass little motors.Hey dose anyone know if arrowprop is still open.I've been trying to call for days to get a prop and its always busy....Bill

Well I got the seats in today. This thing is turning out to be more work then I first thought...Bill

bill dont take this the wrong way but do you have any legs?

have you put it in the water yet to see how it floats and stability?

sorry, bad bad post

What do you mean legs? yes i put in in my pound behind my house.Floated great....Why what are you seeing you dont like....I've been working on my cage.I'll have pics up soon....Bill

It doesn't look like there is any room in between your seats. Maybe it's just the angle of the pic. Tried to be funny, bad idea.
I just asked about the stability because I built a duck boat with pontoons and it surprised me when I put it in the water. It wasn't wide enough to be stable. Off course that was a pontoon.
Cool looking motor. Looking forward to more pics.
Dan

LOL.Ok now i get it...alittle slow here....I was thinking that was some airboat term..You're rite it is alittle tight but i think it well work.Today while laying out were the prop is going to go with a 2x4 it looks like my engine well have to slide back about 4inches...O'well im retired.trail and air...Would help if it was'nt the only airboat in the state of Missouri...Bill

Im almost done with the cage and even got one rudder on.While thinking abour an airboat.I thought theres not much to it.WRONG.Alot of work go's into one of there things..Alrite bandit .let me have it....Kiddin.I'm already thinking about how im goin to build my next one..bill

The 2x4 is just four layout...But what do you guys think about swinging it.If it was layout on a nats ass.Its going to be a few weeks till I have my prop. And I hate to run the engine without a load on it...Just a thought...Bill

I know. This one will most likely be the wife drives around.I just got a 540L-90 that puts out 90hp.Im goin to make another one.wider...Bill

yeah i ran 4foot wide boats in the cypress for years. You just got to be carefull. also i was running a corvair engine 110 hp at wide open most likely 60hp at 3000 rpm. the wider the hull the higher it will float less power to push it i dont think you will get on a plane with two people and stay out of deep water and tall grass just my two cents also you might want to x brace your engine stand .and put legs under the stand to the bottom of the hull

All I can say is be very careful even on fairly wide turns. Neat motor, but she looks like a roller to me...also, I'd test her out at speed before I let the wife in it. You'd NEVER get out of that doghouse. lol

Don't run the motor with the 2x4, a prop is finely balanced and has pitch in it . I know you know that, just not a good idea. As my mother used to say HOLD YOUR HORSES! Keep the photo's coming as you go, that little thing might scoot!

You're rite.I just did'nt want to run the engine without a load on it.The wait on the prop is killin me.To more weeks.Today I go the other rudder on and raped up the cage.Wire tomarrow. Then the steering.then in the water...More pictures soon..And I will put more suport on the engine..Anain thaks four all the tips...Bill

That's a fan cooled engine, you can run it without the 2 X 4. Just don't rev the crap out of it.

Pretty wild Just Bill (couldn't resist!)
