Hunting fish

I will be at home at Camp Old Glory this week end Sat & Sun. I will be hunting fish and that should place this post under hunting and fishing.
I will also be doing shovel work under the front pourch. :bounce: I need some strong backs and weak minds to assist with this project. I need to do this while the water is down. :violent1: I can and WILL do it by myself if needed but it would be nice if a few of the people that said they would help when the time comes, were to show up this week end. :toothy7: (I can see that I will be alone this weekend). Fortunately I understand that folks have a life outside of mine and when they say they will help, it comes at a bad time for them AND me. :( (Will, this would be a good time to help ME )
On another note, I harvested 60 more eggs this evening and did some more awsome videoes of the hawks.
With the water going down, the wadeing birds are returning to the s.w area of 2A. :thumbleft: This morning while on a tour in the central area of 2A I came accross a flock of Egrets, White Pelicans and Wood Storks. 8) On the way home tonite I saw more than 300 birds. :thumbleft: I will video my ride into work in the morning to record more of this spectacular event. :toothy7:
It's tough going but some one has got to do it. :salute:

What time would you need help on Saturday?? :rebel:

From the time the sun is up. I've got the tools and will cook lunch around 2 because I know folks go to church to confess their sins and will be in an accident and will not be able to come out, so I don't want to start too soon and have too much food!!!!!!!!!! However, I will be doing the same thing Sunday if the project is not completed. I don't wait on any one when it comes to getting a job done.

When this project IS done then we can party with the ones that come in late.

5 hours under the pourch on my knees and I now have enough stock for my ramping in front of the front pourch. My legs don't work quite rite but should be better after a few Bud Lites.  I will start striping the sod in the morning. I have to save the native sod for replanting since sod is a commodity here in the glades. 8) While under there, I found eggs that were fresh layed within 3 days. I also found eggs from last year that never hatched. :( The turtles that layed them were not aware that the eggs would not hatch in cool soil. I saved 15 of 20. That's 15 that would not have hatched. Just a little for conservation. :toothy7:

Dave I ran into an old German girl and she said, you should watch Gerald make Donuts!!!

We got a lot of work done in two days time. 8) Thanks to Blackwater Airboats and Quack Attack for their manual labor. :angel4: I did not exspect much help this week end because of Mothers Day and we all know that if Mama ain't happy then nobody is going to be happy. It WAS a short notice. I can't plan much ahead because I now work for someone else and their scheduling is on rotation, 7 days a week. :( BUT don't feel left out guys, the water is going down again and I have much more to do. 8) 8) I'm scheduled for Mon. & Wed. then I'm off for 5 days strait. Picked up more eggs today, I'm now over 500 already. I found a clutch under the house that had been laid recently and was able to save 15 of the 20. :thumbleft: 5 were damaged by the shovel but if I had not found the clutch, none would have hatched because it is too cold under the hose. :dontknow: I found 4 other clutches from last year that did not hatch. :violent1: It's like when the turtles hatch in the yard that I was not aware of, the hawk gets some of them and if they make it to the water the gators, fish and birds get them. If I'm here and see her drop down and pick up a turtle, I can go out and pick up whats left. :toothy7: If it wasn't for her, I would not have saved ANY of them. So, she gets some and I get some. :salute:
