And after the race is over both boats should exit the racing area. If you decide to race again be patient wait your turn and don't race back up there causing more wake's. Sorry to sound like a safety freak but this needs to be addressed. There were some really nice and fast boats there and I hate to see someone get hurt. JMO
Steve, I just want to say I agree 100% with you and the racers safety is very important and more spectators need to be more respectful of this. I showed up late to the race and I saw Bruce and another boat racing so I stayed back to NOT create a wake for them or get in the path in the direction they were headed. I went the opposite way of them and came swung wide to come in behind the starting line. Bruce had turned around and back at the starting line and he was next to me before I knew it.
