I have a 220 gpu that goes up to 2700 then drops back to 2500 like i'm letting off the gas. I took the block off that the plug wires go in to. 3 of the 6 little springs fell out. I turned the engine over and it only shoots spark out of one the little springs. Sorry I don't know what the real names are to these parts. would this make my engine do what it's doing. The engine starts and idles great. Thanks for any and all help

By the way i'm taking the mag tomorrow to have it checked out by lewis ingles
 
Its possible that the problem is your distributor block. it could be in the block look for fine cracks on the block also inspect the electrode side for carbon tracking. but you really need a tester to do the job right.
