Over run by hogs!!

The hogs have been tearing up my property as well as all my neighbors. Is there anyone on here that would want to trap these hogs? We just want them gone or at least thin the herd a bit. I have spent the night on the porch a few times hoping to shoot a couple of them but they seem to be able to stay up later than me!!! We are in the northeast corner of Citrus County on the Withlacoochee River. Appreciate any help or advice you guys can give.
Thanks

I wouldnt mind making the trip either. Got cur dogs, will travel. Mind if we pop a tent in the yard next to the river? lol

How many acres do you have? I don't have any traps but have dogs let me know.

My property is only 2.5 acres and the neighbor right next to us is almost 6 acres and we back up to hundreds of acres of wasteland so thick with moccasins I aint going in there right now..lolol That's why I thought trapping would be best. They come around our property about every other day. My wife loves her yard and spends $$$ and hours planting and primping. They came in one night and rooted up a new flower bed she spent all day putting in :angry5: she would have me just start gunning them all down!!! We are all pretty close together in this neighborhood with canals running between us so shooting makes me a bit nervous. I open for suggestions guys!!!

Cntry,
Yep checked the law and you can hog hunt at night as long as you use Night Vision. I'm a Law Bidin citizen. Go figure

I was a little concerned about a shoot out at the OK coral in the neighborhood. The folks close to me are ready to have them gone though. The one neighbor is putin up a trap to see what he can catch. I read they(the hogs) are pretty smart and might avoid the area once we put up the trap! We will see. I am still spending late evenings/mornings out on the porch hoping to get a shot at one of them squealers!

sounds like a job for the stick and string have fun doing it and wont make neighbors mad and even put some pork chops in the freezer.

Neighbors are all cool with it anyway, just have to share the pork chops, maybe a pig roast is in order!!

Would love to help have a few dogs that can do it as well. I live right here in Belleview if interested give me a call Nick 352-454-0553

Throw a bag of marshmellows out there and be ready with that semi auto. My property was getting tore up and them damn things were out smarting the trap. Old man up here said, "boy, hang a marshmellow in there and you'll get him". Tried it, and had one, sometimes two in the trap. I had so many, I'd take them to the vfw and give them to my boys.

happyhour....how are those shoats doin...I was the smaller fellow cleanin the two next time i come out we can castrate the boars if your still interested just let me know...
