How would you guys like to see a race format set up? what classes? double elimination?

I'm just feeling out the concepts. Remember, not everyone is going to be happy with the results.

The BIg question...............Would you just be happy with racing with no pay back? No entry fee to race, just the general admission fee. The general admission fee, goes to pay for the location, insurance, medical, and law. Maybe a class trophy instead of payback. just something to get us back racing??
 
Be happy with no money???? Hell no, what we would we have to complain about if they paid us :dontknow: You know us racers, hell you are one of us we have to complain :lol: Show up and race?? Hell yea :cheers: As far as the trophies I have won or placed in every sanctioned race in the last 5 yrs. not one trophy :shock: If they do trophies I will probably never win again :lol: It would be nice to have one though :cheers:
 
Unlimited- no rules, bringit and race it.

A/C race boat- As many power adders as you want.

C/M race boat -All motor no power adders

A/C boats no power adders.

Ride boat class- three or more seats. All motor.

One class at the end for who ever wants to run. Hell after watching all the bad boys all day I'd try mine out. lol

im not understanding how c/m raceboat cant have any poweradders but a/c race boat can have as many as they want. :scratch:
 
I think he ment a AC unlimited race boat class. I like the classes also, lets put somthing together.
 
Maybe allow power adders in ride boat class, most of the fast ride boats already have them.
 
Here is what I was looking at.

Unlimited- Run anything
Carmotor- Run anything
6cyl- Run anything
4cyl- Run anything

NO RIDE BOATS. We are racing, not watching paint dry. If you have a bad ass ride boat, put it in one of the above classes.

You can only run one class, unless you step up and run unlimited.

I have heard through the grapevine that a new track is in the works, but its going to be operated a lot differently than we are used too. Thats why I am asking about this stuff. I may or may not have any say in the way this thing plays out, but if I do..........The classes may look really similar to what I just posted. Keep in mind, Im trying to make this thing simple. Not everyone is going to be happy, but I dont care. I have a sneeking suspicion, that this new track is going to be the best place to run in many, many years. Its also going to be more of an organized swamp race. With ramps, lights, and bouys.

Also, the entry fee thing isnt going to be like before. Its probably going to be a straight per person fee. Those fees are going to go for paying the property owner a %, medical, insurance, and LEO. No winners money, just a trophy or something. If there is a winning money, it will be from sponsors, or "other" means.

Again, I may not be included in this development, but I have been contacted for my imput thus far.....
 
Also, looking at this........

Take out unlimited and have the Champions Class.
Top 2 boats from each of the other 3 classes.....
Top 2 carmotors, Top 2 6cyl, and Top 2 4cyls......= Champions Class

Or something in that spectrum

Nope. The precedence has been set. Aircraft has to figure out how to beat the carmotors. You can always do the old, if you can't beat them join them wagon. Lol

Yeah, thats how I hope to have it figured out. There will be bugs to work out, but that is the jist of what Im trying to do. Run what you brung, but have it organized a little.

From the videos of last time it looks like they did a pretty good job! An A/C had the GR by the rattles on that one video.



What about a s/c class? or are you running them with the 6cyl?

I was just breaking it down by class. You have the unlimited run what ever you want. Or the last class of run whoever you want. Those two alone should be enough.
 
JMO, but the more classes mean the more boats racing. The more boats racing, the more fans. The more fans, the more legitimate the sport. Think about the big picture.

Everyone likes to watch you guys race, but hate waiting in between. More boats more action.
 
JMO if this track does open it would be cool for them to have like a saturday fun day.. just run what you brung test and tune. no classes just a place to race and watch. even though most of the places that you guys race at now are close to main roads. it would be kinda nice just in case something would happen and somebody get hurt. lets face it you guys are haulin a$$ and some of the boats are a little loose at times. JMO.

Not trying to count boats out, just narrowing down the classes.
