Redfish Reports

I was north of Wacasassa Sat. Caught a few keepers and lost a big SOB at the side of the boat. Several shorts and several 14-3/4 inch trout. Didn't have any live shrimp so everything came in on jigs.
 
I'm gonna try this weekend also. I fished a week ago Saturday. Not a stellar day but caught some. I like your sunset picture from the cleaning table. Call Eric and see if he can tell you what they been doing.
 
Finally went today out of Yankeetown, great super low tide with the NE winds, expected to tear up the reds in the creeks , but didn't ? Maybe it was the Blue Bird Sky, the wind or who the heck knows? Didnt see fish swimming like usual, ended up with 3 nice keepers and a bunch of under slots. Still had a great day fishing, just didn't catch the slot fish like usual.
Fished entirely up the creeks, way up at times, using live shrimp. Fished bottom for most of the day but when the water finally started coming back in, switch to a popping cork. Did find a new mullet hole though!
I'm gonna try to go Sunday or Monday again, maybe do a little better.
 
Hmmmm well I was hoping I was gonna slay them on Saturday and or Sunday....but looks like it's gonna be a beautiful weekend....best time of the year there is right on the horizon....birds are gobbling already and in 29 days (not that I'm counting) I'll be able to put the jellyhead smack down on a big ole Osceola gobbler....and after that there will be several "feather and fin" days in the works!!!!!
 
Well.....killed the trout but couldn't find any keeper reds all day.....caught these 15 in 2 holes.....

Nice! Nothing wrong with that! Nice job and another great pic from the cleaning table. I would take my pics at the ramp over on Allen Park Road but most days the crowd at the ramp looks like they'd only be comfortable in pictures with measuring tape on the wall behind them! :banghead:
 
My brother in law wacked the trout on saturday. I couldn't make it but wished I had. Did you catch them
in the creeks?
 
Anybody been fishing out of Yankeetown this week? Any luck? Gonna try to go Monday or Tuesday and was just curious.
 
Buddy of mine went Friday and caught a bunch of reds...I'm going today....will let ya know how it went this eve..
Looks like it's gonna b great weather the next few days
 
Not a great report......a few nice trout and a bunch of short reds on the outgoing, tide went slack and someone turned off the light switch!!!!!!!
Incoming wasn't all that big of a producer.....seemed like they were biting better near the mouth if the creeks, I should have spent more time there rather than further up the creeks. Probably should have stayed till high tide but it was already a long day, it did get gorgeous and the wind laid down later in the day!!!!!!
Looks like it will be a stellar week.....GOOD LUCK to those getting to go this week!
 
I haven't been either, was knocking on deaths door with bronchitis which turned into pneumonia, just got back home late yesterday so hopefully will be getting back at it by the first of the week.

Turkeys are gobbling like mad men.....first one fired off at 603 this morning, 8 days and a wake up....feathers and fins days right around the corner!!!!!
Or how about " can't stop the flop" gobblers and fish!!!!!
 
Not me. I have cranked the boat in a month and a half. How's the turkey hunting? I've been seeing some nice gobblers along the roads in the nw part of the county.

Turkey hunting has been phenomenal!!!!!!
