The new MiniMini Hull

now thats a nice hull chuck , but i wonder how it will hold up to cypress knees and logs , in comparison to the aluminum hull , how much weight would polymer add to it . can't wait to here how that hull performs , any more info on the aluminum mini , price , performance , etc.
 
To make the mini boats perform good, they have to be lightweight. So they aren't
built with thick bottoms. With the fiberglass or aluminum, I wouldn't try to jump
cypress knees, You could ease over floating logs. If I were putting a small AC
engine on one and planed to use it as a hill burner, then I would install poly. The
hull price for the aluminum mini is $ 2195.00. The one we have in stock has steel-
flex install, so it is $ 300.00 extra. I will be getting on of the new 10 ft fiberglass
hulls this Sunday. If the powdercoat people finished the rigg, the aluminum mini will
be tested this coming week. Thanks, Chuck

what about a 14' hull with a 750cc motor that would run the hill with two people. is 14' to big to be a mini or does the motor make it a mini? BB
 
beebelawn I've been on a 10' with two people and the boat did not handle very well at all with two of us on it. That 's why I was thinking a 14' hull but with a small cc motor might be a good combination. Or maybe at least a 12' hull. BB

When you test the mini this week take some video footage with a digital camera so we can see how these perform on the water and dry. I really want one of these, but I am sceptical of how they handle and perform.

I think a 14 ft would be too heavy to run the hill with a 750cc motor. We built the
11ft X 6 ft 6 inch to keep the weight down and it runs 32 MPH with a 35 HP Briggs.
It want run the hill with 2 people. The boat sets about 3.5 inches in the water with
one person. We built the minimini, 10 ft long because so many on SA were posting
that 11 ft was too long and they wanted a hull 9 or 10 ft. . So we have a 10 and 11.
The Aluminum is 11 ft 8 inches.

I have a camo in stock. We haven't had time to start a complete mini mini yet. This
Saturday we should have at least 4 Mini's on display and 4 hulls. Thanks, Chuck
Hey Snapper, I think the Alum. Mini hull could be built with a 1/8 inch bottom of 6061
and add 1/4 inch poly for about $ 3400.00.
 
and how dependable would you say that a65 would be on that boatand what kind of performance can i expect realisticly
 
Arnold is doing a complete rebuild now so it should be very dependable. On the
MiniPro 116, it will run the hill with 2 people. On the Alum Mini with the thicker
bottom and 1/4 inch poly, it should run dry OK, but not as good as the MiniPro 116
due to the extra weight. We are giving a complete one year warranty. Thanks, Chuck
 
Chuck , you win I want one of your boats , I just have to figure out when I can get down their and the exact setup I want , ie the briggs rig you allready have built for 11500 or the hull we briefly discussed w/ an a65 , we will have to talk more on this issue , maybe pm me when you get some time , thanxs
 
We are trying to get the new MiniPro 105 ready for the Broward Show on March 15
and 16. It will be the ground running mini, probably with the 35 HP Briggs. The 105
is the minimini hull that is 10 ft X 5 ft 6 inch. We hope to bring 3 Mini's to the show.

Well we didn't get the MiniPro 105 to the Broward Show but we will be running it in
water this afternoon after church. Ronnie and David ran it across the shop floor and
across Ronnie's yard last night. We will take some pictures and video and try to
post them It has the 40 HP Kohler with a 3 blade IVO on it. We are putting in at
Hwy 50 and I-75. Happy Easter. Chuck
 
chuck I take it being your running this hull dry or building it for dry applications you've reinforced the hull w/ like 1/4 poly or something
 
No, just sticky bottom. It was suppose to be slick bottom but the people in wildwood
don't know how to make it. The complete boat weights in at 482 lbs. Not heavy
enough to need poly. We hope to redo the bottom before this weekend. Thanks, Chuck
 
instead of sanding it off chuck try thinner w/ some gloves on you may be surprised it shgould take it right off , if it still gummy
