THUNDER ON THE LOOP!!!

Really wish I had the time and money to make it out there. I wonder if anyone from down south will be riding up there.

In that Thunder on the Loup video: If I was a passenger on that big yellow boat doin' doughnuts I think I'd cr*p my pants....or at least spill my beer.

Love doin that. In riding a long stretch of river, passengers get bored. That always brings em back. lol

Looks like a h*ll of a good time. Wish I could join you. Lived in NE for 5 years. Hated every min of it. lol Hopefully next year I'll be there for this event

Bagman, To get to the race site you must travel country roads for a while. (not forsure how many miles). This is why no one has posted a address for you. If you can program in youre gps the town of Palmer or St. Paul, Ne. from there you will be able to ask about anyone for directions and there will be signs from Palmer that will. direct you to thunder on the loup. Hope this helps and hope to see you there.

Bags when u leaving? U can follow us if u want. We are leaving early that Thursday before from GTO.

Bagman do you have Google Earth on your computer? I have the routes from Fullerton and St. Paul drawn out. I just need to figure out how to share it.

Just got a call about some interest about my boat from a Nebraska boy.... Guess all the ethanol in our gas these days is paying out for the corn farmers. I think if I could have made it out to thunder on the loup I would have sold the boat no problem :-( DAMN.

Yes I have google earth. We are staying in Central City. It looks pretty straight forward to get to Palmer.

Terry. We are flying into Omaha. Or as Keth informed me the other day we are cheating since we arent driving LOL Otherwise we would follow you guys.

I will PM you the route. If you go through Fullerton you will travel less gravel and eat less dust. You will on the other hand have to drive some hilly gravel roads. Both Routes will be on there though.

For those that are interested or maybe coming up early:

The Columbus Run is still being planned for this Saturday July 28th 2012.

Is it true that the guys from Nebraska will not let the boys from Florida compete in the races? The reason I ask is we have a friend taking a boat all the way up their to compete. What are the rules? Its a long way to pull a boat and be told he caint compete. He has been planning this trip for a good while now and we were just told this over the weekend.....can anyone verify any of this???

I don't think that is true. I know Keith has raced up there.

I do not have all the facts but this is what I believe. In the past they have not had a class for the all out race boats like some of the FL boats are. All the classes have been for ride boats. I would suggest that you get in contact with Keith or Tom Dinsdale. I think this is his phone number 308.382.4662

They let anyone race who wants to.
