:rebel: I have a 350sbc with a 1.77 belt drive running a 70 in Q series prop set on #3 mark at 4900rpms , was wondering what yall thought about a 76in h series 3blade (BETTER OR WORSE) :rebel:

Stay away from the h series they are junk. Try a 76-80 inch walterwalker I had same setup with a 76' walterwalker Sirius series it was a tractor

I know very little about the H series. I would suggest the R series first.. those are my personal fav's.

I think you will do better with a larger diameter like a 76".

I'd recommend the 2-blade Whisper Tip 2.0 (12" wide) in 76" diameter - if your SB 350 is stock (300 to 350 HP) with the 1.77 - you can turn the 76" prop up to 4900 or 5000 RPMs on your motor and the prop will still only be turning 2700 to 2800 RPM.

Best to you in your search.

What Patti said. Diameter is push. The more prop dia. you can turn and get out into clean air, the better IMO.
A couple of inexpensive mods to that SBC and you'll be able to crank in even more pitch later.

If you can't turn a 70" Q series on 3 any harder than that with a belt box than that thing is a turd! A strong 200 horse 4 cylinder can turn that much prop...

:rebel: I NEVER SAID I COULD NOT TURN IT MORE THAN 4900 I COULD TAKE A LITTLE PICTH OUT AND TURN IT ON UP.( SO IF YOU CANT SAY ANYTHING GOOD OR HELPFUL WHY DONT YOU JUST SHUT UP) :rebel:

Scotty,

Call Patti!! She is the bomb!! imo I would go with the whisper tip!! I've seen them on similar boats and they love them also. :florida:

Scotty,

Forgot to say I love mine also! I tried the NGQ and really didn't see what all the hype was about with the little wing deal? Plus the customer service from Patti and the team at Whirlwind is first class! :florida: :rebel:

My buddy turns a 1.66 to 1 n a 74" power shift at 4900 with a 350 little over 300hp n I can set my beer on the prop with how much pitch is in it :florida:

:rebel: 74" is my max, will whirlwind blades work in a sesanich hub, my hub is the short hub 7 1/4" so if the whirlwind 2.0 is 76" would it be shorter in my hub :rebel:

:rebel: well I am in north fla and my boat is in south fla and we were looking to trade props and someone had a 76"3 blade h to trade so I posted to see what everyone thought. then I had my son measure it 74 is the max :rebel:

I'm in north fl as well in havana where are u at ? My buddy wants to sell his prop think he wants 1200 obo its 74" power shift :florida:

:rebel: I am in ft. white 20 miles south of lake city I am not sure what a power shift is can you get anymore info and pictures :rebel:

:rebel: went with the 74 ngq just got back from 11 day trip to camp in 3a south micco reservation hooked on the ngq, ran stuff I could have never ran before did not back down from anything :rebel:

NGQ is a king of the hill. If you have the engine to spin one you will be thrilled with the push especially in a DD or lower hp sbc gear drive application.
