Please tell us how you came up with your SA name. There are some pretty interesting ones!

Does "Cntry141iq" really have an IQ of 141?
Does "Crowhater" really hate crows?
Does "Nomad" really wander around aimlessly from place to place?
Does "Poobought" really buy poo?
Who would ever call them self Roxy?

I'll go first. Joined SA 2 or 3 years ago for the sole purpose of selling an old K-way gearbox. Our dog's name is Roxy. I plugged in Roxy as a user name to register for the sole purpose of posting a classified ad. "Roxy"was taken so I added some numbers after Roxy. "Roxy7430" I didn't know anything about SA and had no intension of ever posting or even reading posts. Here I am years later and Login to SA pretty much every day.

Let's hear your story.

I think there's a thread or two about this already, but they are usually pretty cool, for those that don't know, Yobee is my actual nickname, been called it about my whole life. "B" was for baby according to my teenage cousins, and what started as a joke of " YO B!" when I was around 1-2 yrs old. It stuck and in my early years I would not answer to Jay, but I had to be called "yobee". Around the time I started school I learned that Jay was actually my real name and my teachers wouldn't call me Yobee so I had to deal with it LOL! Always been called that by friends and family.

joined S.A in March of 09.. born and bread cocoa / rockledge. redneck, been on airboats most of my life  ,
have been a owner of an airboat for just a few years. most fun ive had in my life, is owning a building a few boats that have been top of the line bad a$$ boats... 8)

I was a stone cold hard biker, driving a Harley Davidson, my buddies started calling me Harley at work, so that is where i come across my S.A name , Harley... 8)

chose a hornet for rudder art because the boat is black and yellow,so my wife said it looked at the boat and said it looked like a blackhornet.

LOL well hell ... actually my name stands for smart cntry boy ... some will say smart arse cntry boy ... being intelligent doesn't mean you don't do stupid things on occasion. I have been given and taken many iq tests over the years ... I wll say that in my opinion mensa is no place for a redneck .. they are not ready for logic such as ours. I am going to stop with that .. because some would say I would be bragging and I wasn't raised that way. I have lots of life experiences is the best way to describe me.

Nuff said. lol

BigJakesrq has been a long time screenname that I've used since I was a kid. Yepp I one of those youngins that grew with the internet and computers

BIG because I'm a BIG guy, Jake because that was/is a nickname I grew up with, my real name is Chance Jacob and I didn't like Chance when I was a kid so I when to Jacob and I guess that was a little biblical for me so I went to Jake 8) , lastly SRQ is the international airport code and short slang for Sarasota County, Florida where me, my dad, and my grandparents all grew up. Even further back than that on Grandmas side of the family. BIGJAKESRQ :D

On a side note I really like my first name "Chance", since I was in high school, so some people know me as Jake and others know me as Chance, but I've been called much worse and I respond to all kinds of names with those 2 being included, some name I've been called are worse than others

This is what my Daddy told me,,, When I was born my Daddy was sitting out in the hallway of the hospital, smoking Camel cigerettes by the handful,,, He wanted a boy,,, The doc came down the hallway and told him he had a "Big Ol' John Wayne" baby boy,,, Daddy told me that the doc gave him my name of John Wayne,,, My daddy called me "Cowboy" all my life,,, It is my nickname, but Cowboy was already taken so I added my favorite horses name Rock,,, He is as hardheaded as a ROCK,,, lol so,,, Cowboy Rock it is,,,

I didnt put any thought into mine really. probably when i was 11 or 12 i had to make a email account for school. my dads email was [email protected] so thats what i also used for my first email account and all my screen names from then on. my dads initials are djh and his bday is 04/05. my initials are also djh but my bday is 07/29. i guess i should of used djh0729  i never forget my dads b day now

Well first part is simply because of my parents are both from cuba. Second part came from joke'n around with some black friends hitting me with cracker. So, I used to tell them I was a redneck cuban cracker. Thus, voila! Signed up 2yrs now and couldn't be happier. Have talked to alot of nice people and hope it stays that way. :rebel: :old_glory:

Been hunting and fishing my whole life and have always done well.Friends started to call me to kill or trap any unwanted critters. They started calling me crittergitter about 30 years ago that name was taken when I signed up with SA so I shortened it up.

Critter

When I first started on Computers. I needed a screen name. I picked Nomad because it was the name that my dad named all of his differant boats through the years. When I tried to set it up the first time. The name nomad was already taken. I was living on a 41' sailboat at the time. That is where the nomad41 comes from. Now you know the rest of the story.

i joined in 2007 and had a cool name picked out screwed somethin up and locked myself outta the account somehow lol emailed rick who is a personal friend and he set me up with my name lol so bruce it was never worried about it enough to change it

Got tagged with the nickname along long time ago, in an age well before the internet, and it just sorta stuck with me .... One day out working cows, an ol' buddy, suddenly decided that I looked like Pat Garrett to him. We were both avid Old West and me in particular am a big Florida Cracker History buff. So that was it... I was "Big Casino" or "El Casino Grande"

FYI - for those not into, or up on their old west history. Ya'll might recall a fellow named Henry McCarty, aka... William Bonney, aka... "Billy the Kid!!!" Henry was known for playing cards and spending time in Saloons and was sorta on the thin and skinny side. His nickname at the time was "Little Casino." Pat and Henry became friends, Pat was a rather tall and lanky 6'4" so his nickname got to be Big Casino, by comparison. (...im sorta 6'5", myself...but i digress...)

And the rest folks is ...... History!!!

I always like the Grits shirts at Cracker Barrel, so when I got my first new hull I decided to put something on the back. Born and raised here, hunt, fish, frogging all things outdoors. Now if I could just figure out what to put on my rudders! LOL :toothy7:

my family always gripping about the time & money I spend hunting for a big one, lol, my buds always called me Bigun so there you have it. :toothy7:
