With water low , the trails are just ruts with water and everyone needs to be on their toes. Two boats hit Saturday between Hotdog and Sleepy Hollow. Everyone just needs to slow down , and give each other room. Saturday boat couldn't climb out of ruts and ran into back of another boat sitting because of bottleneck with traffic going both ways. Luckily no one was hurt, just boats and pride. They both can be mended.
 
it is time for me to post a reply to this. There were three boats in our convoy and I was the third boat. The first boat (big red) told you and your friend there were two other boats coming by holding up his fingers and pointing to the rear, we were doing about 15 miles an hour just on a plane. You knew I was coming I did not know that you were coming because I was the last boat. As I was at corner your buddy came around the corner and it was very tight but we passed without a problem then as I rounded the corner our number two boat (the courteous guy) had come to a stop when he saw you. I immediately lifted off the gas because I would have run into the back of him. The ruts keep us inside the channel and yes we had a close call which should teach everyone a lesson when the number one boat tells oncoming traffic there are other boats with him the on coming boats should stop because the boats following do not know that there is traffic and especially where there is no water with ruts keeping us inside the lane. I want everyone to know that I absolutely try to be very safe and courteous and to help anyone that needs help. I would never intentionally run somebody into the weeds that is not my nature. Therefore if you went into the weeds because of my bad judgment I am sorry for that and it was not my intention.
 
I had to suck up a couple branches ,but i run a warp not a problem for me,i wouldnt want to see a stick go thru your fancy prop ,it was sure a close call,i didnt think it was that bad,but my buddy and wife are pissed off,i could care less because nobody was hurt,and it was a great day,all day on ten gallons of gas,12 hour ride,inline 6 292 dd car boat,12ft taylor hull,3 blade warp,out in the open airboatin :rebel:

We all just need to use some courtesy and communication . I know Saturday , we had 8 boat run and sometime after the 4th boat (me) the two oncoming boats continued on trail (ruts) . I had signaled there was 4 more boats behind me , so they knew there were more boats but 6th thru 8th did not . Six stopped and seventh stopped and ole number Eight ran into the back of seven. Its always bad during low water times , there is no longer two lanes just one rut in the middle . We just need to relealize that at anyime that next corner may have a boat coming or stopped , till we get some rain to help us.

On a side note , saw too many boats with just a flag right on cage , Get that Thang up in the air , where you can be seen over the grass. It may make a big difference .

yes ive seen guys riding way to close to each other,glad nobody was hurt,i agree with the flag thing,you guys need to put em up,the higher the better,trails are getting dry,pray for rain

X2. I saw a couple boats Saturday at Sleepy with no flags. We have to look out for each other , with everyone wanting to vote in feel good laws all it would take is a major accident and they would be back on "the ban the airboat bandwagon" again , here in Citrus County, like in the late nineties .

Agreed I mean shot crap like this happens when your on the water and conditions are crappy with limited trails due to low water. Freaking quit act like some ass hurt bitches about it. Idk nevin but heck by his response I would say he's a bigger man about it than y'all.

Nuff said!!! I have only been at this a little over a year and I have been put in the tall grass and other places because I was watching out for my Airboating Family. If you haven't done something to pea someone off you need to start a Classy Class.

actually were just laughing at you.....it's pretty obvious that they admit that us low class guy's avoided the accident by goin into the weeds and me into something more like trees....and we all learned a lesson and as said before, the fire done went out...but, you leave us all worried when you talk about singing and holding hands.......that shit aint gonna happen I'll run my boat into a brick wall if I see you coming at me.....have a good one......ROFLMAO :)

why would you want to edit 520's response??? he wasn't there either....only response I would worry about editing is that one about holding hands and singing together ROFLMAO.......I'm sure we'll all get over it and help each other in the future but we'll all be fine if you just stay home.....the rest of us will be slidin with a chick on a different day...the weekends ain't safe unless ya go with the aircraft guys across dry for miles blazin a path the whole way with a machetti and a chainsaw wielded properly...i'm gonna take my direct drive chevy smallblock and try and keep up....when the time comes it'll be my direct drive DODGE.........
