New Dixie Thunder by Diamondback & Mast with Pics

Thanks Chris, cannot wait to see what you cook up on Witchy's rigging. I thinking Spider boat like that orange county chooper :salute: The great thing about sliding hull if you came from light aircraft fiberglass hulls that slide the carmotor turn chine just do not get it. That is why my boat has no chines, I am used to sliding and as Rich knows that is the only way to go. Bobby has just came up with a way to do both. Slide & turn so off to figure our which LS I going to run, thanks for all the looks.

Also think about going with a belt drive gets me on the left drive torques to the right and lowers the engine like 7 inches, Thoughts anyone :dontknow:

Heavy unless you use the blue lightning or whatever it's called. Then I just have a hard time trusting a belt with the kind of hp we are using!

MD true it is 60 lbs heavier than the motor is 7 inches lower so you deduct the weight of the reduced engine stand, but the new CH4 with 5 inch belt looks cool remind me of my Harley lol, I really like the reduced torque roll seating on the left but did not like driving with my right hand so this keeps me on the left torque to the right, when I get in trouble always want to bail left think I still driving a aircraft  Thanks for the input

Wayne,
I talked to Bobby about those long belt drives(and others) and he said that when you get all the weight down low the boat don't drive right! He said the weight helps the boat roll enough to steer right. I'm sure he will steer you in the right direction though! He has always done right by me!

Chester

He is the one steering me to a ch 4 belt not the long belt, ch4 is what is on the black diamond run boat, love all these choices, in the end I go with what Bobby thinks, he builds them and knows what runs on his hull, now the engine package that is getting real interesting, too soon to tell, try and plan on riding with us after Broward show it will be a blast, be on a that following Monday. Ls rules

been on both boats got to say the big inch felber boat impressed me a lot in a bad place last year, but ive driven the dixie thunder 2, afew times and it dont lack for much, back in my car motor days i allways ran belts and i loved them cause they didnt rattle at idle with a agressive cam witch made a better frogger and gator boat, but alas im broke lately so i got to watch the big dogs run, but i will be in the glades after the broward show going were ever the big dogs go :bounce:

bout that time to do it again Plum, except this yr,no water to cool the bottoms down at all. Fishins good,BEER's r cold all you need to do is get your butt on down the road..i've got the rest covered

BTW, its a SBC 8)

I'll try and run with you guys after the show. It all depends if I get into the police academy by then or not. I'll give you a call today.

Chester

wayne from the look of that dyno sheet i seen in my inbox this morning you may have to change the name of the boat to Dixie hurricane  that thing is a beast

It does look like a stud, Bobby is working out the details and then we will see what is going to push my new rig. I promise ya it will be bad a$$. I post up when I get the green light from the Boss. Hmmm what to do with 750 hp/ 800 ft lbs torque with the weight of a 540 LS ROCKS :violent1: :violent1: You guys better get your big horspower while you can 2013 EPA rules will suck, 2011 already are killing the under 500 hp rigs, winds of change are blowing some good some bad.

I'm guessing a supercharge LS3. For the supercharger are using a Lysolm blower set up? By the way that what I was going to do on my next motor. You beat me to it. :D

The die is set, thanks for all the input from all my buddies, Waterthunder, GTO, Panther & especially Bobby. I going with the MAST LS 7 427 Cubic Inch Supercharged 750hp/800 ft lb torque Hurricane motor coupled to a belt drive swinging R blades. The specs are bad a$$, dyno sheet is crazy 800 lbs at 3600 rpm with 560 hp. It is not on the website yet but check out MAST goodies. It was a hard choice but time is wasting :violent1: :violent1: Bobby has work to do.The engine has been tested for the past year some may have seen it on the American boat at Nebraska races. MAST is ready to get it out and Bobby did his magic and hooked me up with it. Comes complete ready to drop in alt, fuel pump etc. If you want to know how much it cost call Bobby 8)

No BS between me & Thunder he helped me make my choice so haters pick another fight he will be keeping my old motor running sweet for Brad.

So this thing should rock, the detail Bobby has come up with and cool ideas are just too sweet, you just have to wait to Broward to see some of them 8) Look out BBC you are done
