RACE FEED BACK

imma build me a raceboat out of an 89 cottonmouth with an alky burnin nitrous injected small block mopar that way nobody can gimme any static over hulls or engine choice gonna be different

ok I'll admit the boat slid but it didn't break the stakes, and the light still went green. We'll lets say I red lighted what happened to my turn around we was supposed to get one right? Alot of questions with the wrong answers in our eyes. Right or wrong. but one things foresure, this is all in the past and no matter what we all agree that to ensure everything is fair all the way around the people in charge need to be impartial without boats racing.
Just want to say thanks to brad for trying to make everything right.
 
Dave thats the same motor you sold George .it was protested because it was not a 23 degree motor you was cheating and that was it.plus you was told the rules and didnt follow them you had to get fuel checked and you didnt.you try to cheat and got caught .The NARA was doing its job.

WOW i didn't know that one the same thing happen to me in mud racing well the shaft part one $1400.00 3 months in a row against all the blower guys years ago they was trying a new thing by using drag tree instead of leaving when you want and i was fresh out of drag racing and i beat them om the tree. until after the 4th mount they said they had to make a rule change no rear engine cars back then i was 4th one build but the only one to participate in that race. but like you said earlier in a post yea they ruled me out but then did there homework and eventually they all converted to rear engine cars. if the motor was illegal then how did it pass inspection no n.a.r.a. did not do there job you don't let someone race and then at then end of the day oh by the way your disqualified you cheated :?:
 
Lou stop for a second and think about what your saying we can have the race promotor post on here and several people I know that were at the race! You are simply wrong about that. Give Jimmy (THE GUY WHO PUT ON THE RACES) a call. Him and Wanda I think was her name another official told me this and also ask Andy Justicsen he told me all about how you and your crew went driver to driver to get people to protest me. The pump man son earned major respect from me his words were " Dave you all came here with a new boat and motor and kicked everyones @SS they can't take that away from you" Also Jay Fishback, Jeep Scott, Jimmy Futch and me and my wife were all told by Jimmy he knew it was so crapy he even gave Scott a 1st place trophy and these are all facts. Even sadder was not a word was said about disqualification until about 8:00 when they handed out trophies after 90% of the people left that was a very well planned way of shafting us too. If someone told us during the race we would have left and saved a few hours of our time.

It's all childs play to me I just like to race but I still get a chuckle about how something so meaningless becomes so dishonest.
 
Wow, This thread turned into a bitch session! Glad I didnt go to the races this time. Sounds like the best time that was had was at the Tiki Bar.

funny thing is the two that are really bitchin werent even there with boats its hilarious
 
no but it's the principle that's why they come and go when you race for 25yrs or better you see how that stuff dictates and regulates participation

They must be or NARA will never get off the ground.

I tried to make them realize the changes needed in order to grow. NARA will never go anywhere until they realize they need to put on a show and entertain the spectators. But for some reason they always let the racers write the rules and all the racers write the rules for their boat. SERIOUSLY 25 BOATS SHOW UP TO RACE IN 20 CLASSES. I ran a few races achieved my goal and I'm done unless the sport turns into a motor sport instead of a skirt wearing bitch fest. Every race there is a drama I crewed Pro Mod and Top dragster for 10 years and never saw any drama just racing!

The same one that George bought that was a total TURD!That motor wouldn't pull it's way out of a wet paper sack. :lol: But then he got a real motor from Byron Corey (sp) and had something then.That must be why Byron has a pile of LS motors sitting there to build now that are turds.Hmmmmmmm.......... :?

not trying to call anyone out here but i remember a long time ago at kissimmee one of your friends ina red diamondback stepboat showed up with an 18 degree motor on it to run the rideboat class. and you yourself said that there was no rule against it running in that class.And if im not mistaking didn't you have that same motor on your boat at a race as well? I guess the moral of this story is maybe no matter who runs these races its never gonna be a level playing field. i think until someone that runs the races and is not a racer or has any major ties with racers. This is gonna be what it is. I have been around airboat racing since the 80's and nothing has changed. when you beat they them will just change the rules. i was really hoping that sanctioned airboat racing would get going again but from the sounds of it it's not. I guess the saying is true. If you dont cheat, your gonna get beat
 
That old man that was driving the witchcraft boat wouldn't cheat he would let you go first and then chase the sh*t out of ya. Lol. Just kidding old man!

If thear are no rules and no one to enforce them the NARA will not make it..
I think it should be up to the owner to make the rules. (but go by them)
Airboat racing is a hard nut to crack I have seen this for years but if you dont like
the rules dont partisipate.
I HOPE WE ALL CAN GET ALONG ANDKEEP NARA ALIVE!!!
 
The rules that NARA have now is GREAT!!!! No-one can come up with 1 legit complaint about the rules they have now. The only problems at this last race were at the starting line and I think the will be handled. The July 2nd race I haven't heard 1 complaint about. These 2 past races were about as good as it gets. I for one am not B!TCH!NG or whinning about the NARA and how the race was run. Now I DID do some B!TCH!NG about a problem that took place at the starting ramps that from the best I understand has been handled. We will be back as soon as another 1 is planned. Let's RACE!!!!
