Testing another new prop!

I just got my hands on a new prop that I will be testing! I have a data logger that logs MPH and E.T. every ten feet! I will be testing only three blades props, Right now my favorite sport prop is the Sensenich R blade, my favorite tractor prop is the Sensenich S blade and then the Water Walker Maximums! I currently run my R blade at three and half. I will also run a Falcon and a Whirl Wind prop. It will take me a few weekends but I will post wind conditions and MPH per RPM's and cruise RPM's for each prop. All testing will be done on a 14ft Hamant with a 500HP WaterThunder EFI motor utilizing a 2.68 Rotator with the engine turning 5,200 at wide open throttle. Then I will set the pitch to where the prop makes the most peak thrust and post that RPM per each prop! There is an immense amount of runs and data to be done so this will take awhile to run and optimize each prop!

Ive only read some of your posts but it sounds awesome some of the stuff you do to get real factual information for airboat performance other than "man i burned up the hill with my new prop!" hahaaha. When i save a few more pennies ill be looking for a new prop and until then ill be reading everything you post!

Dave a- ALL the hard work you do testing props is appreciated. I cant think of many people who sacrifice alot of time to test props - most guys just throw them on and "settle".
It is ALOT of work trying different props and setting different pitches.
I hope you are a Prop dealer so you can sell props and make a lil $$$ for your efforts.

Thanks Cracker Style I will have to tell you I have no interest in selling prop’s it’s not worth the aggravation. You gotta answer 300 questions and 50 phone calls and there is always one guy who sells them at cost or right next to it. To me all of this is not worth $50 I would rather use the time to build motors. I just do this so I know what prop works best so in return our motors and combo’s perform their best for the customer!

I notice you didn't say what prop you are testing. Something that is not on the market yet?

Can you tell us who the MFG is?

I also have a ten blade Warp Drive but that will be last prop I test the thought of me having to adjust ten blades makes me cringe!

its not to bad with a digital

WATERTHUNDER IS THE MAN!!!

Seriously, Besides he and Felber-they are the only guys out there who puts it in writing for all to learn. Name anyone who is a professional airboater who shares their knowledge. By professional I mean someone who makes money from the business.

I should have all the data by mid next week. I'm going to take the two best performing props and run them back to back on the same day ON TWO DIFFERENT BOATS!

It has been way to windy and rough to have a fair cruise and plane RPM comparison all of my former data is on a calm flat day! I hope things lay down this weekend!

So is the warp drive the "new prop"??? Or is it really a NEW prop? (other prop)

WHAT IS THE NEW PROP????????

Are you testing out that electric adj-pitch prop Water Walker has been working on? IS that the new prop? WHAT is the new prop you are testing?
