Brazos river

Those bastages cut down all the ol' growth SHADE trees... granted they were mostly post oaks, native pecans, elms & cottonwoods, but hey that was better than nuthin & now it's just nuthin'... wth were they thinkin'. :blackeye:

I talked to Ric (KC5AKB) this afternoon and he told me that the caretaker is airboat friendly and that they'd love to have us. He (the caretaker) also told Ric said that they do not reserve campsites.

I've been runnin out of Hamm Creek , water is still up but dropping , I made the run from ramp to the old demoed bridge up toward glen rose this afternoon , lots of purty country up there, we need to plan a get together sometime guys, see ya'll in june

Man I gotta get back in the river.....liltimetx is playing right in back yard too....
Maybe I need to suffer from anal glacoma "cant see my ass coming into work ".....next week.

Hey BB if you'de like someone to run with give me a call 817/991/2841,Randy id like to see the river N. of granbury also

I might slip in the Brazos on Sat ...sometime...my BSA troop is canoing from Decordoba to my parents place in Mitchell Bend. I'd like to give them troopers a ride on the Sho-Nuf airboat if I can swing it . I have to work that weekend but I think I might get either sat or sun off ?????
I'll call if I can get in the water ....our troop has done this trip for 15years or better , it would be a first if I can get the boat in the there and let em ride .
The water at my parents place is high and I might be able to drop in there , if not there is a ramp in BRA below the dam. I think that section is 10-12 miles of skinny water.
BB

how much higher is the water today at hamm creek? The water at Gholson { poverty hill} , 20 miles south of Whitney, is up 7 or 8 ft today compared to yesterday. When it clears i am gonna take my 25 merc back out and fish some creeks.

Dean the water is WAY up , ya'll will see a bunch more water down there soon.
I'd bet we have 12-14 feet more water than normal.
Liltimetx-sorry brudder but I didnt call we went out today and ran north from Tin Top .
Wow flooded river , Horseshoe bend almost under water , water lappin' at folks back doors.
Lots of boat docks under water.

If ya'll get a chance come on , just watch out for my Boy Scout Troop in 10-12 canoes going down river to my parents place.
