Brazos river

I dont think we can make it to play on sat, thanks for the invite though , riding on Sun somewhere, either below Whitney or tin top North, or if we can ride between Hwy 67 and Granbury Dam thats a posibility, just got to find out where we can launch at
 
The river is WAY up again 9 gates of 13 open at Decordova dam .....here comes the water BRAB boys ..look out.
I dont think my BSA troop is gonna canoe in that fast water.....

Man that's some water, but y'all ain't alone... we got a little over 7"s of rain in 3 hrs the other day. At 13:00 they were conducting 4 high water resue op's here in San Antonio... it'll probably be drier than a popcorn fart come Labor Day :happy1:
 
We went and ran from Rocheals at Hwy 4, dark Valley bridge and ran S. to 180 and back, PK has stopped releasing water , looks like a dry week so maybe the water will get back to normal
 
That's good to know... maybe Mother Nature is going to cooperate with us some. I mean, we've got an airboat rally to go to in a couple of weeks :?
 
hey liltime, you didnt miss any thing here, i couldnt get going sunday as i had carb trouble. But repairs are finished and I ran monday evening and carb is fixed. We will be out on the holiday weekend maybe we will see you then.

You never know who y'all might see on that strectch of the Brazos... if not on Saturday, it'll be Sunday :wink:
 
we ran behind the dam this evening, not sure how far we ran down and then back up lots of water in the ole river right now, hey dean did you here us come by your place by chance
 
no but i was at the river widening my boat slide, i was only there for an hour or so. I am 20 miles south , from the dam the 2114 bridge is 8 miles and 12 more to my place. Rusty place is 2nd house from the dam, i bet he saw you, LOL. Glad you made it down and we will be looking for you soon.
 
liltimetx, that was you. i waved at ya'll when you went down river. i was up on my deck. when you came back i walked down to the river but you went towards the dam. stop by the next time you put in here and we'll pop-a-top on a cool beverage.

come when you can, we be glad to have you. water is getting to where we can run a little now. hope to make a run this weekend if it stays the same. i here ya on the fishing. we been catching them for several weeks now here on the bank. don't worry about the noise, were used to it, i get a little nervous when i don't here it for long periods of time
 
you cant run the river when the water is high like it is? Whatcha been catching rusty?
i used to fish down there all the time. havent even been down there in a long time tho
 
we went to tin top this evening and made a run to twin bridges Hwy 20 and back ,BB thats is a pretty part of the river I like all the sand you got up there , lots of skinny water for a smooth ride , we had a blast , just a couple more weeks and we can all have a good time together up there

Thats a nice run , one of my favorites. If you push further north into Mineral Wells its all skinny water....let off the throttle and the boat skids to a stop!!

I dont know of a planned run but, i bet a few airboats will be out, i can speak for me and i will be out for sure this weekend
