Installed a catch can to try to reduce the nasty crank case vapors that get pulled back thru the intake. The Tracey Lewis can looks like a lot of thought went into it. I'm optimistic. There was a lot of oil and gas/condensate mix in the intake where the PCV connects when I took it apart.

So after all of the headache with the tuning process and wiring would you still go with the LTG and not the LNF by the way good looking boat man that’s a great build

Now that I have it worked out yea I would do the LTG again. And now with the speedgem adapter and a little more support on the ECU and harness out there it won't be as bad. I would not however go down this road unless you have a tuner who is knowledgeable and willing to put in the time to make it run in a airboat. The GM Gen V tuning with the torque management is complicated. I like the NEW very low mile motors and the availability of the LTG....there are millions of them out there. The LNF and its cousins are getting old. Harder to find low mileage motors.

So........I installed a catch can a few weeks ago as I knew I was getting oil in the intake. A fair amount. As you can see from the previous pics. The amount of oil, moisture and fuel the can is catching is pretty crazy. Way more than I expected. The glass on the left had settled. This was about an hour of run time with a little bit of dry ground running, a few long idle warm ups and the rest running about 3300 RPM at about 2 or 3 #'s of boost. The glass on the right was the same conditions but only about 30 min of run time and it had not settled when I took the pick.

The amount is so significant it makes me wonder if I don't have some piston issues. The motor runs so good I would not have thunk it. As soon as I finish my forged motor I am going to work up the courage to pull the plugs, scope it and do a leak down test.

UPDATE ON THE CATCH CAN

Good news is I have zero oil in my intake now. Crazy news is I have collected as much as 16 oz of liquid in my catch can after burning just 15 gallons of fuel. When I get my forged motor finished I'll do a leak down test and scope the cylinders. I'm kind of scared to check it until my other motor is ready:)

Fully forged LTG may go on the DYNO next Thursday. I'll let you guys know the numbers when we get it done.
Did a little work on a few things this year on the LTG boat and a buddy's Diamond back. Made a replacement top ram mount for a trim tab. Also did a 10 hour grass rake build.
