ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

We did get the forged motor on the Dyno a while back. Didn't spend much time playing with the tune due to the challenges of getting the little motor fit to the stand with the intercooler and miles of shit. We did make 333 hp @ 5500 rpm with a conservative tune.

We also may or may not have broke pistons in multiple stock motors..........But the good news is it would appear that the stock ring gap is not enough for 22# of boost. Both motors we measured ring gaps between .014 and .016. We opened that to .022 and .024 on the forged pistons. In hind site had we taken the motors down and re-gaped the rings we likely would not have had any issues. Unless the junk yard motors already had issues we were unaware of.

Boat has been doing great. Built a forged big turbo LTG over the last year. I think I’m going to drop it in the old dragon fly for real testing and breakin. I already ran it for a few minutes on the engine stand under load and everything looks good. This motor should be a beast.

Maybe I will catch up to you when I retire. It looks great Eddie
I can't ever get the dude to work on my stuff!

I want to know if any temp difference is seen when that radiator guard is in place? It certainly eliminates the stick through the radiator concern on my part.
