WOULD BE NICE TO HEAR SOME FEED BACK FROM ALL THE RACERS ON THE RACE FROM SAT. HOW DO YOU THINK IT WENT? WHAT IMPROVEMENTS CAN BE MADE AND SO ON.

First thing I want to say that is one great race track, and I'm all for NARA to move forward, but until we get some impartial people running the lights and calling red lights I'm not driving five hours, so until I hear about some changes we'll see y'all at the lake.

From a spectators view, I thought it went well...besides a few guys runnin a bit late getting to the line,it went real smooth.
Maybe get a couple headsets at both ends of the track so you can communicate with each other. Sometimes you can't hear the announcer.
An unbiased 3rd party to fix the issue Flying high had.
Ooh yeah,and a guy who knows how to ride a 4 wheeler and keep it out of the holes :lol: Brad sure was making the rounds,and he needed that lil cool down.

The reason for drivers not coming to the line is they had no speakers on the finish line end of the track. Drivers could not hear what was going on.
Yepper take the guns away from the lawful people .. the outlaws still smuggle them in .. but your permit is not valid there .. for several reasons the way I understand it .. anyways .. I am sur esomebody will chime in on this ..
1.) land owner says no concealed carry
2.) sporting event
3.) alchohol sold
I am sure I messed that up somehow but I didn't google the law so somebody set me straight on it and everyone will learn something ... LOL

I think ya'll are making a non issue an issue......flash your CWP and they will find your weapon. Act like you got nothing to hide,hand em the money,go about your business and nobody asks any questions....liability/insurance....but hey what do I know. We set up our tent,ate fresh hog sausage,burgers,sat right next to my 55gal cooler full of BEER,had a jiffy jon right behind me..then had my wife who didn't drink drive me and the kids home. Bout as perfect of a day I could have planned.
They take their rules seriouus, the dude got in the back of my truck and took out the empty glass containers in the bed. I saw them take 2 machete's away from another truck.

and if they catch ya with a gun .. you can go to jail ... if they catch you with a gun and a BA over the limit you will go to jail ... but maybe its just me but I don't remember jail being someplace i liked very much .. LOL

country, I think most people with permits know the law. alky and guns are never legal together. Its not that i want a gun at a boat race. Its other places that day or weekend that i mite need it. If you blow a tire in belle glade at nite, You gosh dang rite i want my gun on me. I just think they should be a little bit more leniant about going through your vehicle. when they can see you dont have any alky in your cooler.

I think posting about the race and everything on it in the high performance thread is a mistake. Only certain members see this. All posts pertaining to a NARA race should be in the Airboat category. I was shocked how many airboaters didn't know about this race. The next one must be promoted :free: more by airboaters thru word of mouth.
The landowner can ban firearms---thats their right under the law---and my right not to patronize them. And yeah---they don't find all the guns. But when you are headed back from shooting or hunting and stop by an airboat race, having your rifles etc confiscated and placed in the bed of a pickup truck is nonsense. You may certainly have a drink and have a gun on you. You cannot pull out a gun when drunk. Course if you really need it, then who cares.
