FISHED EVERYDAY THIS WEEK AGAIN IN YANKEETOWN AND THE MORNINGS WERE ON THE COOL SIDE. THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK CAUGHT SEVERAL NICE TOP SLOT REDS AND A BUNCH OF TROUT. AS THE WEEK WENT ON THE REDS SEEMED ON THE SMALLER SIDE BUT WE CAUGHT OUR SLOTS BUT HAD TO PUT IN THE WORK FOR THE REDFISH. THE TROUT SEEMD TO HAVE REALLY COME IN GOOD THIS WEEK AND SEEMED TO BE EVERYWHERE WE FISHED WITH SIX OVER TWENTY INCHES AND TWO THAT TOPPED 25 INCHES. THIGS ARTE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION WITH MORE COOLER WEATHER APPROACHING AND SOME GOOD LOW TIDES NEXT WEEK SHOULD BE BANNER FISHING. HOPE YALL CATH A BUNCH THIS WEEKEND.

Well this week was a good one. Monday was the winter bite I have been searching for. It was in low 40's when we left and the front had a strong NE wind that dumped the already low tide out even lower. We lost count on reds, sheepshead, snook and got a flounder also. A few overslots and lots of mid and top slot reds were on the chew. Best redfish day for me this season. Tuesday was not the same conditons and even though I followed the same game plan we only caught 17 reds a few snook a sheephead and a flouner. Once the tide came in I bounced out a bit cause it slicked out and caught a bunch of nice slot trout with two over 20 inches. Made a decent run Wednesday to avoid all the boat traffic from this holiday week and it was a good decision. We Started on the outgoing and got a few smaller reds and some slot trout. Once the tide got low enough I got on a few spots that were holding some nice reds and sheeps with one overslot and a few top slots. On the incoming the bigger trout stared to eat pretty good and we finished our limited and headed in early. The weather was perfect and the fishing was pretty good. Thursday was a complete rain out. Hope eveyone had a great holiday and got some quality family time. Next week the tides are very slow and not much movement so I don't anticipate the bite to be super strong, hope yall have a great weekend.
Spent the entire week fishing again and even though the tides were a bit slow with not much low water to speak of the fishing was pretty good. Left Monday around lunch to fish the outgoing and bottom of the tide. The bite was great we got big trout with 3 over 20 inches and a bunch of upper slot fish. We caught about 7 or 8 reds low slot and had a double header with two overslots. Tuesday and Wednesday was much of the same, although I fished early and hit the incoming tide and stayed around the creek mouths and didn't go back in. Caught a bunch of big trout and reds and most all stops. Thursday was a tough bite early on and I had to stay on it to get it done. We caught two good reds on the incoming tide and 5 keeper trout and covered a ton of area, the fish were definitely off. Around two o'clock I made a move a bit further out cause it was slick and we started to get big trout every cast. The weather every day was picture perfect and the water clarity is improving. Great low tides next week should hopefully make for some great fishing. Good luck to the guys who will be out there this weekend on the hunt.

Had another good week out there. Had some good lows with the full moon. Monday and Tuesday were grinds pretty much with the full moon and warm weather. Stared out with good low tides early and hole hoped not catching much of anything but a few rat reds and one 25 inch fish. Half way through incoming I popped on the Islands just out front of the creeks and caught a few more smaller slot reds. On the high water I ran further out to some outside spots because it was slicked out and caught lots of big trout and Mack’s. We were able to get our limit on reds and trout both days but didn’t make it happen till later in the day on the higher water. Kept fish one day this week and the rest was all catch and release. On Wednesday the low was much later north so made a good run and caught 6 founder, 7 sheepshead limit of nice trout and about 20 reds with two being overslot and 4 low end slots. Thursday was good hit one hole and caught about 25 redfish with a bunch in slot and came in early. I agree with Andy that the cold weather will push in the fish and make it much easier than it has been the last few weeks. Tried to add more photos but can only add three from my cell phone per post. Next week has some slower moving tides, some of the slowest moving of the year, but some good cold coming so we will see how it is.

Had another great week on the water again. We finally got some good lasting cold. The fish did exactly what they do and ran to the deeper holes and creeks in droves. It’s was very very easy on Monday and Tuesday for big upper and overslot reds. Had lots of double and triple headers for both days. Even with the slower moving tides the 55 degree water temps put scattered redfish all together. Seemed like every cast was another good red for two days straight. Took Wednesday off to do some Christmas shopping. On Thursday evening I decided to take a look by my house In crystal river to see how many big snook have pushed into the springs area. Saw tons of big snook and some tarpon. Got 4 overslot and one that was slot sized. Released all fish this week. A slow warm up is on the way but the fronts have plummeted the water temps and fired the fishing off now. Weather looks good and good low tides with low water temps should be an awesome weekend of fishing.
