Redfish Reports

I had vac scheduled for Wednesday thru Friday but being a Lineman by trade that's out the door. We'll try and go Saturday.

We fished the last weekend and in September did very well alot of overslot fish. Struggled to get a few in the slot. Most of what we caught was at the late turn of high tide.

We ventured in the back of a creek that at low water has about a 10x20' hole. My buddy said there was no water there. I said just cast anyway he somehow managed to pull a 30" Red, next cast was a 17" trout and third cast was a 22" snook. What a great way to end saturday.

Hot though.

We made a run at it on The 13th, 2 throws of the cast net we were done about 50/50 pins and mudminows. We caught several keeper reds and some decent trout. Fishing was way better than I excepted after Michael! Water is still dirty, It's only gonna get better. Tight lines

Fished Sat evening a lot of bait action, beatiful evening but was hard to hook-up. Sunday morning was slow till the water was low. Caught 5 between 24" and 32" within an hour out of a few sandy holes.

We r gonna go stay on the Coast the 24th thru the 28th, looking forward to the first real neg tide! Will report back

Well Id love to tell ya it was Bluebird skies and we killed the fish, I'm sure as you know it blew like 20 Thursday till Sat. We scrapped up 3 keeper reds and 13 trout in 3 days. We ended up going home early,,Really looking forward to some nice weather!!!

Well at least you went. I had plans for this weekend and last weekend but the cold fronts kept me home. Bad tides for me next weekend. I guess I’ll slip off during the week one day soon.

We fished sat morning very windy but we found a few caught our 3 22, 23 and 24 had one nice 30" fish. We were up in the creeks when the water finally got low enough things got good. Tide was still going out at 2:00pm weird day.

A big group fished friday some went north and some south, I heard there were 2 reds and 3 trout for 5 boats. Sat most of them went north and caught a bunch of decent size trout and 3 reds.

Went yesterday. Things are picking up. Did ok with four nice slots and a couple keeper trout. If it’ll cool down it will only get better. Did not go back in the creeks. Fished in and around eleven prong.

Hey y’all been a little bit. Still been steady at the tarpon and big snook with all the warm weather we been having, the tarpon fishing has been excellent. Wanted to do a shakedown run of winter boat. Plenty of fish around near creek mouths and outside areas. Enjoyed the shakedown run catching tons of reds, trout, snook, drum, pompano, flounder and sheep’s.

Had a great day yesterday. Lots of fish caught. Actually caught quite a few back in the creeks. Fished a tournament with my boys. My son in law won the biggest red. He caught one 27” that weighed 7 lbs 15 ozs. We came in fourth overall. If I had practiced some better fish management we possibly could have won. BD989A9B-FBF2-408B-AADB-45C94BB75636.jpeg

We went Sat, I wish I could say we wore em out like ya'll did. We caught a lot of short Reds and Trout. Managed to get our Reds and 6 Trout. Definitely not the fishing I would except for 2nd week in Nov. Hopefully we'll get some cool weather. That's a nice Snook fitnast, Especially on Top water!

Thanks Andy it was a great fight on light tackle. Fished the big low on Sunday. The wind had the tide dumped way out further than scheduled. Took advantage and decided to stay a bit further out and hit some nice cuts on the low and a few deep potholes. I figured the warmer weather prob still had fish scattered good. All the trout you could want with a few reds here and there in the holes at low. As the tide came in I bounced outside and caught 4 nice big snook and several big drum and a bunch more trout. The weather was beautiful and fishing was great. Look for the cooler weather coming up to get the reds moving.

Nice Snook

My brother is coming in from Virginia for a few day.

We are hoping to fish friday afternoon and sat morning before he has to head back. Can't wait.

Went late Saturday afternoon. Caught quite a few but only four slots. They weren’t where they were last weekend. Caught some fairly deep in the creeks. Going to go Wednesday and Thursday morning. Hope to get a better location on them. 58934337-0578-4CEC-AC85-EF51690CFB79.jpeg

We made it over friday to fish a few hours before dark, went south trout were biting everything that hit the water. We kept a few 17-18". Sat morning was cool on the ride out, lol. The tide was already low and never really came in up north. It was a very low water day and made it kind of nasty moving around but we finally found a hole with a bunch a fish and my brother had a blast. kept a 24" and 26.5". Also caught a nice 22" flounder.

Nice Red, btw. I hope to be back and fish friday and sat. Both days are negative tides can't wait.

Whacked them pretty hard this morning. Caught over 60 with 12 slots and several break offs. Going again in the morning. Catching them in most of our “winter” spots. 7720D6C9-0C19-4670-9B3F-9F98745CD9CF.jpeg
